.Dosage: use 1 teaspoonful and let it sit overnight in 1 cup of water. Afterward, use a 1/3 dose taken prior to each meal. Pour one teaspoon of root in one cup of water; bring to a boil and simmer for two minutes. Remove from heat and steep for 15 minutes. Drink one cup three times daily.

Fun Fact: In Norway, the Vikings use this plant as a source of medicine. The plant was cultivated in medicinal herb gardens and it was probably the first plant exported from Nordic countries to the rest of Europe.
